TAM National Conference 2023, Technology Without Borders 2023

I express my gratitude to the Technological Association Malaysia (TAM) for inviting me to attend a momentous event held in my home state.
The TAM National Conference 2023, themed "Technology Without Borders 2023," serves as a platform that brings together experts in various fields like biotechnology, agro-based technology, health and medical technology, and building and construction technology to share their knowledge, skills, and expertise, which will lead to the swift adoption of technology in Malaysia.
Sarawak's agriculture sector is vital in achieving the PCDS 2030 goals, with a focus on utilizing modern farming practices and global partnerships to increase productivity and support downstream food processing for export.
As the Minister of Plantation and Commodities, I acknowledge the significant role of technology in improving productivity and quality throughout the agriculture supply chain. For instance, the Malaysian Pepper Board has leveraged technology to enhance the competitiveness of Sarawak's superior quality pepper.
As Sarawak aspires to be a net food exporter by 2030, government agencies, industry players and TAM must converge to collaborate and leverage on each other's expertise, skill and technologies particularly Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Robotics and Automation to drive productivity and growth especially in agriculture.
